Are you stuck? - By Tony Robbins

If you’re not progressing, you’re dying. Here are three ways to get unstuck and keep life moving forward.

Life can sometimes feel like a stick that is stuck in the mud — immovable and hopeless. Do you ever get that stagnant feeling that nothing is changing? Nothing is evolving? It’s enough to create a depressive state in almost anyone.
But, feeling stuck and having progress are not interdependent. You can only have one at any given moment. The moment the feeling of progress stops we feel stuck — and miserable — because ultimately, progress is the key to happiness.

The Engineering Community in Canada and The Power of Networking

Q: How about forming strong and professional relationships with people in your field or potential clients? Does this contribute to your success?

A: I would say that we all are in sales! Selling is a game. Life is a game. Both have their rules… and attitude is everything! The key to success is handling failure. A strong positive attitude is one of the most important traits, not only for a sales professional, but for everyone who wants to build strong relationships and succeed in any undertaking! Not always is easy to keep a positive attitude, but whatever you focus on becomes your reality, believe it or not. AREC’s purpose is to help you make better use of your professional network and help the people you trust in return. Improve your performance with the guidance of peers and mentors who’ll help you stretch and achieve your full potential. Be part of something bigger than yourself. “Let’s Connect and Build Relationships” is one of our objectives.
Speaking of AREC’s successes, an important part of that is because of our sponsors and partners, and I’d like to thank them again for their continuous support.  Some of them were with us from the beginning, others have joined us recently, and we at AREC appreciate you all!
Imagine that you have access to a pool of thousands of highly skilled internationally trained engineers from a wide array of expertise, qualified to match your business needs (such as recruitment or tapping in diverse markets)… this is AREC! (www.arec.ca)

Learn to pitch!

One of my colleagues recommended to read the book "Pitch Anything: An Innovative Method for Presenting, Persuading, and Winning the Deal".

I just started going through and I loved it! You will understand, why!

From one of the reviews: "Read this book if you're frustrated with your current sales method, if you're tired of making 100s of calls for making 2 deals, if you feel angry with the way you're treated in client office lobbies or if you just want to try something different."

Push it that one extra degree and be 212!

What is 212° the extra degree?

At 211 degrees, water is hot.
At 212 degrees, it boils.
And with boiling water, comes steam.
And steam can power a locomotive.

One extra degree...
makes all the difference.
And, the one extra degree of effort in business and in life... separates the good from the great!

The average margin of victory for the last 25 years in all major tournaments combined was less than three strokes.
The margin for victory between an Olympic Gold Medal and no medal at all is extremely small.
In the 2004 Men’s 800m race the margin of victory was .71 seconds.
At the Indy 500...The average margin for victory for the past 10 years has been 1.54 seconds.
On average the winner took home $1,278,813… the second place prize was $621,321… a difference of $657,492.

It's your life.
You are responsible for the results.
It's time to...turn up the heat.

To get what we've never had…
we must do…
what we've never done.

212° Attitude
The only thing that stands between a person and what they want in life…
is the will to try it and the faith to believe it possible.

212° Kindness
It is one of the most beautiful compensations in life...
we can never help another without helping ourselves. (Ralph Waldo Emerson).

212° Belief
Belief fuels enthusiasm, and enthusiasm explodes into passion.
It fires our souls and lifts our spirits.

212° Focus
Having a simple, clearly defined goal can capture the imagination and inspire passion.
It can cut through the fog like a beacon in the night.

212° Perseverance
Perseverance is not a long race: It is many short races, one after another. (Walter Elliot)
You are now aware

You now have a target for everything you do...
